Coal Country Chamber of Commerce
The Coal Country Chamber of Commerce is always in need of volunteers to help with various functions and events. Office Help: We are looking for volunteers to staff the CCCC office (213 South Macoupin Street, Gillespie Illinois) for several hours a day each month. Office duties would include answering the telephone, taking messages, greeting visitors and distributing brochures to guests. Interested persons are encouraged to leave us a message at (217) 839-4888. The CCCC office also serves as the local tourism office. Photography: There is always a need for more pictures! Persons with a digital camera and an interest in taking candid photos of crowds and events should contact the CCCC office at (217) 839-4888 and leave a message. Check out our Calendar page for event dates and times. Crew: It's always nice to have people to depend on, which is why we are looking to increase our number of volunteers. Many different opportunities await you to help us serve our community. Set-up and break-down for events, painting, poster making, food prep., equipment transport, and much more! By Event: If you have some free time during the Summer, you might want to help with our Summer Concert Series which runs June through July. The Sidewalk Sales takes place the first weekend in August and is a great time for you to help the Chamber distribute free tourism information. Lots of activities are planed for the Fall Festival in late September, we rely on the help of many wonderful volunteers to pull it all together. Get in the Holiday spirit as you help us present the Hometown Holly Day and Snack with Santa in early December. |
