Recently at the Dedication of the All-Weather Track for Community Unit School District 7, the CCCC presented a plaque to John F. Schmidt, President of the William E. Schmidt Charitable Foundation and the Lon D. and Lucille Barton Charitable Foundation in recognition of his friendship, charitable donations, and great financial assistance.  In the photo from left to right are Chamber Board Secretary Greg Craine of 1st BancFinancial, Chamber member Rory Makler Senior Vice-President of FNB-Benld Banking Center, Chamber President Judith Morrison, Schmidt, his wife Peg Schmidt, and Superintendent of Community Unit School District 7 Paul Skeans.
